SMART Lab - Science and Technology Campus at Innovation

The SMART Laboratory - Innovation is a 3,800 square- foot state-of-the-art facility housed adjacent to the Science and Technology Campus.

Research conducted at this laboratory includes, but is not limited to lower extremity neuromechanical assessment, post-traumatic osteoarthritis mechanical factors, muscle dynamics via diagnostic ultrasound, and traumatic brain injury (TBI)- Concussions.

Bertec Force Plates	Measure forces produced on the body when running, jumping, walking - used for gait analysis, sport movement analysis
8 Camera Vicon Infrared Motion Anaylsis System	3-dimensional video biomechanical analyses of human movement in all activities including sports, running, waling, jumping, dancing
Delsys Trigno Wireless System	Examines muscle activity using surface electrodes during physical activity and movement
MagStim	State of the art transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) to assess the effects of various pathologies on nerve conduction
Balance Plates	Two portable balance plates that can be used to assess posturography (static and dynamic stability). One of the balance plates have the ability to be integrated with the VICON motion analysis system
Visual 3D Software	Software to analyze biomechanical, video, and force data
